As the countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ continues, Louis Vuitton is once again proving that luxury and sport go hand-in-hand. The luxury fashion House has unveiled the official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Trophy Trunk, a handcrafted masterpiece designed to transport and present one of the world’s most coveted trophies. The announcement arrives at an especially exciting time, with Miami preparing to welcome fans from around the globe as one of the tournament’s official host cities.
As an official supplier and branded licensee of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Louis Vuitton continues a partnership that has become synonymous with football’s biggest stage. The bespoke Trophy Trunk will make its highly anticipated debut during the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Final, where it will be carried onto the pitch by Louis Vuitton ambassadors alongside a FIFA legend before the championship match. It’s a tradition the iconic brand has proudly upheld since the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, transforming the presentation of football’s greatest prize into a moment that celebrates both athletic achievement and exceptional craftsmanship.
Handcrafted by Louis Vuitton’s artisans in the House’s historic Asnières-sur-Seine workshops just outside Paris, the Trophy Trunk reflects more than 160 years of savoir-faire. Wrapped in Louis Vuitton’s iconic Monogram canvas, the design features two hand-painted front panels accented with a striking golden “V,” symbolizing both Victory and Vuitton while echoing the colors of the FIFA World Cup trophy. The exterior is finished with Louis Vuitton’s signature leather trim, gold-plated brass corners, lock, and clasps inspired by the brand’s historic travel trunks, while the interior is lined in soft beige leather and custom-designed to securely cradle football’s most prestigious prize.
The unveiling also introduces an exclusive limited-edition collection of three iconic Louis Vuitton trunks, each inspired by the official FIFA World Cup 2026™ Trophy Trunk. The collection includes the Coffret 8 Montres, designed to store up to eight luxury watches, the Cotteville 16 Montres, created for discerning watch collectors, and the timeless Malle Courrier Lozine 110 travel trunk. Each piece is crafted in Louis Vuitton’s signature Monogram canvas and finished with a hand-painted FIFA World Cup Trophy alongside the House’s golden “V.” Continuing one of Louis Vuitton’s most beloved traditions, every trunk can also be personalized with its owner’s initials.
The partnership between Louis Vuitton and FIFA has now spanned more than a decade, with the House designing Trophy Trunks for every FIFA World Cup™ Final since South Africa 2010, including Brazil 2014, Russia 2018, and Qatar 2022. Over the years, the Trophy Trunk has become nearly as recognizable as the championship trophy itself, representing a shared commitment to heritage, precision, and excellence.
“For over a decade, Louis Vuitton and FIFA have shared an unwavering commitment to excellence, bound by a shared belief in sport’s power to inspire and bring people together,” said Pietro Beccari, CEO and Chairman of Louis Vuitton. “At its heart stands the world’s most coveted trophy—a symbol of dedication, collective ambition, and the ultimate celebration of victory.”
FIFA Chief Business Officer Romy Gai echoed that sentiment, describing the official trophy as “the most coveted prize in world football” and noting that its arrival inside a Louis Vuitton trunk has become an iconic part of the tournament’s final ceremony, seamlessly connecting the traditions of luxury craftsmanship with the pinnacle of modern football.
With Miami preparing to take center stage during the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Louis Vuitton’s latest unveiling offers a fitting reminder that the world’s biggest sporting event is about more than what happens on the pitch. From exceptional design and meticulous craftsmanship to the unforgettable moments that define championship history, the official Trophy Trunk celebrates the artistry behind victory itself. As millions of fans prepare for the tournament, Louis Vuitton once again demonstrates why its legacy extends far beyond fashion, creating timeless pieces that become part of football history long before the final whistle blows.
