Spanish powerhouse and brand ambassador, Rosalía has recently launched a limited-edition collection with M·A·C named “Aute Cuture,” during Hispanic Heritage Month. This 18-piece collection features an array of makeup staples, including lipsticks, face and eye palettes, and an assortment of nail lacquers and adornments.

For Rosalía, her nails have always been a symbol of radical feminity and strength – and she showcases her adoration for glossy manicures and embellished designs as her signature style. “I have always respected nail art and nail artists; each nail is like a little piece of art, and there’s beauty in the fact that it lasts for a certain time; it’s not forever,” she says in a brand release.

The collection, based on self-expression, serves as a re-launch for M·A· C’s release of nail lacquers. With bottles that mimic the shape of lollipops, the limited-edition set features six shades ranging from a creamy nude to shimmering gold, as well as a variety of one-of-a-kind nail adornments.

The collection also features a custom rendition of M·A·C’s best-selling Ruby Woo lipstick. However, this unique take, Rusi Woo, has a slightly warmer undertone and matte finish. “My favorite product has to be the Rusi Woo Lipstick, which is a spin on one of my absolute all-time classic M·A·C shades, Ruby Woo –  it blows my mind to have my own version of this iconic shade,” she says.

In addition to the classic reinterpretation, the collection also features four shades of matte lipsticks and four glossy liquid lip colours ranging from a universal nude to a bold and vibrant red.

The collection also features irresistibly glamorous face and eyeshadow palettes with colors named after cooking spices used frequently in the Spanish culture. M·A·C’s Senior makeup artist Gisel Calvillo can credit this correlation to her deep Hispanic roots, “I have traveled extensively through Latin America and Spanish-speaking countries, and I know this to be true – we love glamour, makeup, and self-expression. Wearing a smokey eye and red lip is our normal, and beauty trends today are trying to show people that you can wear both,” says Calvillo.

The collection has launched during Hispanic Heritage month to celebrate the vivacious and vibrant culture. “We [ M·A·C] celebrate beauty and self-expression and truly have something for every skin tone, style, and need. We can go from quick glam to full-on transformational makeup, making you feel your best and most glamorous self,” says Calvillo – and that is exactly what the iconic brand did with this limited-edition launch.
