Elizabeth Weber may have looked for love on Love Island, but her true romance was written by fate. Before meeting her fiancé, she knew he was the one—even jokingly calling him her future husband. But their love didn’t need a reality show; it was effortless, undeniable, and proof that the best love stories unfold when least expected
Now, with a stunning sunset proposal behind her and a dream wedding ahead, Elizabeth is savoring every moment of this exciting new chapter. From finding the engagement ring that made her gasp to planning the perfect venue, she’s embracing it all. In this exclusive chat, she takes us behind the scenes of her engagement, revealing what she’s learned about love, self-worth, and how the right relationship effortlessly falls into place.
3H: Huge congrats on your engagement! Can you take us back to the moment—how did the proposal happen?
EW: We were in Naples, Florida, and had both of our families in town for it. Gianni had booked us a gorgeous suite at The Ritz-Carlton. As the sun began to set, we took a walk on the beach—then, in that perfect moment, he proposed. Then, we celebrated at my parent’s home in Naples with both of our families.
3H: How did you know your fiancé was the one?
EW: It’s funny because, in a way, I knew he was the one before I even met him. My friends wanted to set us up, and just from what I had heard about him, I could tell we would be a perfect match. I used to joke with my family and friends before the setup happened, saying, “Oh, I need to fly back from Florida to meet my Italian husband,” not knowing he was actually French-Canadian—LOL!
3H: Is there a special meaning or story behind your engagement ring?
EW: We chose it together at Verstolo in NYC. I wanted something timeless and classic. I always thought I’d be an emerald-cut girlie, but when I started trying different cuts, I fell in love with the elongated cushion cut. When I saw this specific stone, I actually gasped, and everyone was laughing. I didn’t know he bought that exact stone later on, but I was hoping he would.
3H: What’s been the most exciting part of wedding planning so far?
EW: I love bridal fashion—I’m so into it and can’t wait to attend Bridal Fashion Week in New York. I love fashion, but before this, I didn’t know much about bridal styles and designers. I’m learning so much! I’m also really enjoying scoping out villas in Italy online, which is what we’re thinking for the wedding. It’s going to be beautiful.
3H: What’s one wedding trend you’re absolutely obsessed with?
EW: It’s not exactly a trend, but my friend just got married in Palm Beach at the Flagler Museum, and she walked down the aisle to Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar score. It was absolutely breathtaking. I definitely want a dramatic violin moment like that for our wedding.
3H: You’re pretty public with most aspects of your life, how do you balance keeping some parts of your relationship private?
EW: I try not to overshare too much. We really do have such a storybook relationship—as annoying as that sounds! We treat each other with so much respect and have great communication, so there’s nothing we feel the need to keep private. I think if you asked any of our friends and family, they’d say we have a great relationship that people admire. When it’s right, it’s easy.
3H: Looking back at your journey, what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned about love?
EW: If it’s not right, let it go and accept that it wasn’t meant to be. You won’t attract what’s meant for you while you’re still entertaining something else. Know yourself and what you bring to the table so you can be a great partner and attract an amazing one in return. I tell my friends who struggle with self-worth: open your Notes app, grab a piece of paper, and write down all the things you bring to the table—everything you love about yourself. Read it every night to remind yourself of your worth. It’ll help build your confidence and attract nothing but the best for you.
Elizabeth is stepping into an exciting new chapter, and her love story is only beginning. She knew he was ‘the one’ from the start, and their journey—from that moment to the unforgettable proposal—has been serendipitous. Now deep into wedding planning, she’s balancing her love for bridal fashion with the thrill of choosing the perfect picturesque Italian villa. For Elizabeth, this journey isn’t just about planning a wedding—it’s about celebrating a love that feels effortless, fated, and truly meant to be.
