If it’s one thing M∙A∙C Cosmetics consistently cares about [aside from its multitude of beauty products] it’s their philanthropic endeavors. In honor of the 27th anniversary of Viva Glam, the iconic program which has raised over $500,000,000 globally, M∙A∙C has launched a limited-edition collection in collaboration with the late famed artist Keith Haring.
Haring, who is widely known for his large influence on New York City’s graffiti aesthetic in the 80s, passed away due to AIDS-related complications nearly three decades ago. However; his artistic legacy continues to live on — especially with this limited-edition collection.
The highly sought-after Viva Glam collection features three bold lipsticks [with Matte and Frost finishes] in red, blue, and yellow— inspired by Haring’s signature color palette. What’s so amazing about these specific colors is that they can be mixed and matched to create a customized palette with the shades of purple, green, and orange. His penchant for bright and immersive hues has effortlessly translated over into the collection’s statement-making lipsticks.
While the collaboration is ideal for those in the art-sphere, it’s also ideal for those in need of support for their communities. For every sale made, 100% of proceeds will assist the LGBTQIA+ community and those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
M·A·C’s and Haring’s shared belief that artistic expression is universal and unbound by societal standards has opened the door for equal rights in all things glam.
